That's certainly a reasonable assumption, but the capacity of the trailer dolly won't actually be a factor in how easily it moves your trailer.
What matters is the dolly itself and how it's configured. For example, I recommend the Rack'em Trailer Dolly # RA20, which has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity with 24" wheel spacing for easy maneuverability.

I did some research online and found that your 2014 Forte can be towed using a tow dolly like part # RM-2050-1. It cannot be flat towed with all four wheels on the ground.
According to the owner's manual, you should place the vehicle in neutral and move the ignition key to the ACC position.

I recommend first checking with the local laws where you will be towing your 2013 Acura TL. The tail lights on a Tow Dolly # DM9713045 are often the only lights which are required. On solid pavement, the Trailer Valet can handle a slope up to 5 degrees, but when going up a grade, the # TVRVR3-BB225 can only be used to push a trailer, not pull it so it wouldn't be suitable for pulling a boat out of the water up a boat ramp.

Though I am not in contact with this customer and am not 100% about what the exact issue was, the only plastic socket he may be referring to is the plastic wheels. The cause of these breaking will not be due to the weight, but rather by having something stuck in there and still being used.

I checked out the owner's manual for a 2013 Ford Escape and looked at the section about flat-towing, (recreational towing) in the manual.
Per the manual it states that it is not to be flat-towed or it would run the risk of damaging the transmission. This applies to both the 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive Escapes.
Installing a transmission cooler like part # D13502 would only help cool the transmission fluid when the engine is running and the fluid is moving through the system.
